The Redcat Racing Gen8 International Scout II is Redcat’s first completely in house build. All design and development was done in the United States. The Gen 8 has had no problems being accepted into the Rc Crawler scene. With straight out of the box performance the Gen 8 is very appealing to the RTR enthusiasts, and the custom build community.

The Redcat Racing Gen8 International Scout II jumps right into the competition as a professional rock crawler sporting high performance features from the ground up. C-channel frame rails, low center of gravity battery tray, centrally mounted divorced transfer case, lockable slipper clutch, portal axles with metal gear covers, MOD-1 gears, machined aluminum spools, front CVAs, 32 rubber-sealed ball bearings, threaded aluminum shocks, 47º steering blocks with proper Ackerman, Panhard bar, LED-ready bumpers, winch-ready front bumper, and frame mounted floor pans Just to name a few.

The Gen8’s fully licensed and highly detailed International Scout II body offers an awesome scale look thanks to the hard plastic grill, plastic folding mirrors, molded inner and outer fenders, shackle mount front bumper, receiver hitch ready rear bumper, and plastic rock sliders. As an added plus the body and bumpers are ready to have LED lights installed.

Staying as true to scale as possible, some licensed Interco IROK Super Swamper tires wrapped around a set of real functional beadlocks keep the Gen8 rolling through the toughest terrains. The wheels have a beadlock ring on the inside and out to maximize tire holding and strength.

Portal axles provide plenty of ground clearance without having to trade up to a bigger set of tires. The majority of the gear reduction on the gen8 is inside the portal axles, so there will be much less chassis torque twist than the traditional axle shaft driven crawlers.The portal axles offer 54.5mm of ground clearance and have metal wheel hexes, gear covers and CNC machined spools.

The Gen8 has a very innovative dual design slipper clutch that allows the driver to set the slip where you would like or you can completely lock it out. The lock out process is simple. All you have to do is remove the slipper pads and springs, then reassemble. The Gen8 comes with a 32P spur gear and mod1 gears in the transmission, transfer case, and portal axles.

The Redcat Gen8 International Scout II 1/10 Scale Rc Crawler transmission and transfer case are really over built with the massive Mod1 Gears, but were designed this way to allow you to crawl the most hard core conditions. A sealed pinion and spur keeps the gears safe from rocks and debris. You can adjust gearing to fit most motor and driving styles with easy fitment of a 9T to 23T pinion allowing for gear ratios from 28.12 to 71.85. The Redcat Racing Gen8 International Scout II’s weight is well distributed thanks to a front mounted motor and divorced transfer case and will run smooth with the 32 rubber sealed ball bearing through out.

The Gen8 easily conquers all types of terrain. The stock setup gives you 73.4mm of ground clearance, a 61 degree approach angle, and a 39.5 degree departure angle.

The fully adjustable wheel base, adjustable ride height, adjustable toe angle, multiple shock positions, adjustable approach and departure angles, tunable suspension, and the lockable tunable slipper, make certain that you can get the very best performance from the Redcat Racing Gen8 International Scout II no matter what course conditions you throw at it.
